This is the blog for our new, ESRC funded, seminar series in new psychoactive substances and other new drugs.
Our aims are to provide a critical environment within which to consider the issues surrounding new psychoactive substances and other new drugs, to bring policy makers, practitioners and academics together, and to consider new psychoactibe substances alongside other new performance and image enhancing drugs.
Our plan is to put on 6 seminars about key themes related to new drugs (policy, supply and demand, psychopharmacology, policing, risk and treatment/harm reduction) followed by a final one day conference on new psychoactive substances and ohter new drugs.
We are keen to make our website a valuable resource for those working, researching and teaching in this area. We also want to make the seminar series as up-to-date and topical as possible. If new psychoactive substances and/or other new drugs are a reasearch interest of yours, please consider leaving feedback here on what you would like to see covered or what resources would be useful.
